Most businesses stop at demonstrating that they are technically competent. 

But you have to demonstrate to your prospects that you’re not just good at what you do, but that what you have in common so that they can learn to trust you. 

That you are the subject matter expert but you’re also engaged with what they really need and what’s important for them.
