Growth happens by intentionally setting goals that bring you closer to your vision, through specific targeting strategies. Defining with clarity what you’re working towards, building a fail safe strategy to reach said goal and doing the work to get there.

There is so much talk about GROWTH on social media at the moment… How to do it, increase your followers and engagement, chasing the elusive and ever changing algorithm… but there are a few things that remain the same.

People love AUTHENTICITY.

People crave CONNECTION.

These are two things that your audience will never tire of. 

Authenticity and connection are two things that make it easy for you to talk about what you do and offer.

Here are 3 ways that help you to better connect with your target audience, staying authentic. 

1) Use YOUR strongest COMPETENCE & CONNECTION ZONES

As a business coach this is something I cannot emphasize enough. Too many service based entrepreneurs are choosing their target market, with a “just pick a niche” mentality. 

Too many times I see these entrepreneurs ending up with a niche that they don’t know how, exactly, they can connect with their supposed target audience, or in the worst case they don’t have enough connection zones to get even started with! Or, the business owner doesn’t feel competent enough to show up in front of the target audience because they are not certain what value they could possibly offer.

And thus, marketing feels like an unpleasant core that tends to end at the end of the to-do list and hardly gets done.

To avoid this, build your business on areas and topics that you already are great at and love doing. Always start choosing your niche by looking inward and mapping out your own strengths – not from looking outward what is trending or what others do. 

This is how you find your Playground doing things that are easy as play for you but others want to pay you to do.

2) Define your SIGNATURE SYSTEM

What is a Signature System? 

First what it is not… It’s not a product that you sell, yet it can be used as a blueprint for any products or packages you want to create. 

Think of your Signature System as organizing the beautiful work you do with clients into a sequence of unique processes, step by step. Each step has clearly defined outcomes or results along the way. 

A Signature System makes your expertise highly marketable because it’s easy for you to talk about what you do directly from your heart, in a clear and compelling way. 

Furthermore, you’ll be able to stay focused on what you’re offering, instead on having a random selection of products that won’t present your expertise properly, and probably makes you feel misaligned from your own values and how you perceive yourself.

When prospective clients see the solution to their issues laid out in an easy to understand sequence, they feel understood, they feel excited and they feel a tremendous amount of confidence you can help them.

3) Create your OFFER using a clear PROMISE

An Offer Promise is the core of any good offer. Without a well considered offer promise, the product or package has a high risk of becoming sluggish selection of elements and features (seen any of those “you’ll get hundreds of hours of videos and free updates for life” offers?).

With a clear and relevant offer promise, you’ll have a solid foundation to build a package that has everything required to claim the promise but “no fat”. Furthermore, an Offer Promise keeps you focused – you won’t feel any need to stuff in additional elements that can actually hinder your clients success by being unnecessary timewasters.  

An offer developed around a clear and compelling promise will be a pleasure you talk about because you feel proud and confident about what you have for the right people, and the impact it has in their lives!
