Good coaches, therapists, and other service providers tend to have clients who get great results. But I don’t think that the service providers’ skills are the main reason why their clients get outstanding outcomes.
The great results happen mainly because these service providers know who is best suited to get great results with what they are really good at.
And they only accept clients who are in a specific situation, have already done certain things, and have the right resources to get the most out of the help the service provider is good at giving.
Not everyone can receive the full value of what you offer.
But when you choose clients who can, that’s what makes outstanding outcomes for your clients practically inevitable.
Great client results happen mostly because of who your clients are, less because of who you are.
Which means that you’d do less for your clients.
Accepting that truth might require losing some ego and shifting your “hard-earned dollars” thinking.
Because you didn’t do the thing. Your clients did.
We are too often driven by ego-based reasons. They turn our focus inwards on how we think things should be, and what we want and do so that it hinders our ability and capacity to be in service.
Once you renew your perception of yourself, let go of some limiting thinking and focus on the people who are situated to receive the huge value of what you can deliver, that’s when you tend to get everything you ever wanted.
