Why You Can’t Deny the Unexplained Stagnation with Your Business Growth

A world without your business? That’s sad.

Imagine a world without entrepreneurial small businesses.

Shingles would get “un-hung” for entrepreneurs of all kinds – from Chiropractors and Therapists to Media and Marketing Consultants, Specialty Furniture Stores to Event and Retreat Organizers.

The only signs you’d see on the street would say “Out of Business.”

It’s a stark picture. And it’s one that does happen daily for thousands of businesses every year.

But it doesn’t have to happen to you.

Enhancing your clarity in three areas is your ticket out of the unexplained stagnation with your business growth… finally enabling you to have a lucrative and joyful business and feel inspired to be your absolute best.

1) Strategic Clarity

One of the most common strategic frustrations is not knowing HOW to do certain things.

For example, you know that you need to do a webinar but don’t know HOW to do it.

You get slowed down or stopped by questions like: “What should I talk about in my webinar? How long should my webinar be? Should I charge for it? Do I it live or record it? Should I have slides or a video of me or both? Should I sell in this webinar or not? And how to sell in a webinar? What if the audience hates me for selling in the webinar?”

Not knowing how to do certain things can delay you doing something for months… you don’t get done things that you could have done in a week or maybe in just a day if you had had the correct “how-to”.

Many people don’t have access to what really works. They don’t know what is going to give them results. So, they try a bit of anything and everything. This leads to having no direction and amplifies the feeling of being lost.

Some common symptoms of not having a clear direction:

  • You are great having ideas but don’t seem to get them turned into reality;
  • The whole idea of marketing your business, getting clients and the sheer number of things that you “have to” do feels overwhelming;
  • You have a list of projects and tasks but you don’t know what needs to be done first;
  • You don’t know how to prioritize and what needs to be done daily, weekly, monthly and yearly;
  • You struggle telling your prospective clients what is the “thing you do” and creating marketing material is as pleasant as a stick under your fingernail.

2) Mindset Clarity

Without mindset clarity, you get in your own way.

You also get easily distracted. As creative entrepreneurs we get lots of ideas – that is our gift. However, without mindset clarity that can turn into a distraction that works against us

Many of us have limiting beliefs running us and restricting us doing our good work. We have fears that get on the way in bringing our business forward.

Lack of mindset clarity often correlates with unhealthy personal boundaries – what other people say about you or tell you traps you emotionally and mentally. Sometimes it’s merely the fear what someone might think about you stops you. Sometimes it’s the spouse or close friends who tell you that you should “just do it and make the money already” – and maybe even shame and embarrass you in front of others.

Lack of mindset clarity makes you often listening too much the “naysayers” and toxic people and adjusting your actions to fit their expectations of you. Sometimes you do it just to avoid yet another confrontation with them.

All this leads to self-sabotage. You know that you want your business to grow stronger and expand. But somehow you end up messing your opportunities to show up fully in the way that you want to perceive yourself and you want others to perceive you.

If you recognise this happening with you, have compassion for yourself. There is nothing wrong with you. Virtually, we are all the same.

3) Structure & Support

Isolation. That is the mindset of operating “solo”… all the time. Many entrepreneurs have no mentorship. It’s like blind leading the blind – and you are playing the role of both blinds

When you are running solo all the time, you get trapped in the day-to-day. You have no resources to work on your business because you are working in your business, day after day.

For many, there isn’t enough structure.

Many don’t have enough support.

Most have little or no accountability.

They are doing everything pretty much themselves.

They know that their level of implementation could be much better, but never seem to have the capacity to reach higher, even if they have the competency to do that.

Isolation, lack of advice and lack of structure are a fruitful breeding ground for self-doubt.

Have you ever experienced self-doubt in your business? Questioned yourself whether you ever become a real, successful business owner enjoying the lifestyle and fulfillment you had your vision for and you dreamed of? Asking yourself if what you are doing is really worth it? To the point that you were close to stop trying to make your business and life better?

Lack of clarity with strategy, mindset, and advice lead to inadequate business growth.

If you have ever been asking yourself why your business is not growing – or all the growth brings more chaos than rewards – it’s because not knowing what to do next, getting on your own way and not receiving the right advice, support, and accountability.

If you are running your business without direction, you tend to sabotage your good intentions and operate solo, your business may quickly become a liability that is consuming your life and resources.

On the other hand, not everyone experience business this way.

For many, business is an asset that consistently creates value, gives great rewards and supports a fulfilling and meaningful entrepreneurial lifestyle.

These business owners are increasing their income and creating leverage by creating systems, collaborating and delegating.

They intentionally and deliberately build a lucrative and joyful business so that they can enjoy their lives, be good role models and leave a valuable legacy for their children and their community. They don’t work on weekends and evenings. Instead, they spend time with their family, friends, and community, being fully present. And refresh with self-care activities without feeling guilty for taking time just for themselves.

What all these business owners have in common is… increased confidence.

“How does one get this increased confidence?” you might ask.

With clarity.

When you are clear about what your best next step is and you feel capable of taking it.

You get increased confidence when you receive advice and guidance that has created great results for other people like you.

When you get desired results, you’ll get more confident.

When you have a personalized action plan so that you’ll know what to focus on, what are the next steps – and what not to do.

You get increased confidence when you have someone to support you and hold you accountable when you are working through a proven blueprint that has worked for others – turning “on” the lights in your business one by one.

When you get out of your own way by having someone to coach you to shift your perspective and expand your capacity, and to dissolve limiting beliefs and self-doubt – that is how you get increased confidence.

With some courage, with the right belief in self and faith in business, you become more confident.

When you are taking the path with people who are positive and encouraging, you’ll have support – and you can be of support to others in a way that it might surprise you.

Not every day as an entrepreneur is an easy one.

A healthy, positive people environment is crucial. You must have people with similar kind of aspiration around you — as the saying goes “A rising tide lifts all boats.”

On the other hand, a loving, growth-oriented people environment also helps you to stretcheven when you might not feel like it.

That is how you increase your confidence: following a solid plan with tried and trusted strategies, overcoming internal blocks and having the right kind of support and accountability so that you’ll feel safe to have your skin in a bigger game.

How would having that change your business? How would having that make a difference in your results and in your impact?

Finally, not feel alone anymore? To have peace of mind with your life and business? Earn more than enough and love it? See how you actually make a difference with what you do?

If we were to meet one year from today, what would need to have happened for you to feel confident in your business and happy with your progress?

What do you dream to accomplish during the next 12 months?

Perhaps you have been working hard on your dream but have been working on your own, without adequate support. How does that make you feel? Lonely? Stuck? Tired? Underappreciated?

That’s what many entrepreneurs tell me.

How is it working for you?

Here’s what I can give to you: a gold star for trying to do it that way. And an “A” for effort.

But let’s be honest. It can be frustrating because it’s so overwhelming and you are not getting desired results fast enough. Is that true for you?

It doesn’t have to be that way. While there aren’t magic bullets and you got to do your work, it doesn’t need to be hard and you don’t have to do it alone.

If you are tired of doing it by yourself, not knowing what to do and where to start, I have created something for you. I created the 90-Day Business Launch Intensive for those who want to profit faster from their skillsand the Private Business Transformation Coaching program for those who need to organize and optimize their business

Whatever you choose to do next, make that decision consciously. Observe whether you are making that choice based on your fears or on your dreams.
